- Overview
E-LMS (‘we’, ‘our’, ‘the Service’) is committed to protecting the privacy of users in accordance with EU law and the GDPR. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights.
- Data Controller
The data controller for the Service is the operator of E-LMS.
- Data We Store
3.1 Account Data
- Email address
- Name (optional profile field)
- Account metadata (creation date, last login)
- All data needed for running the service and courses
- User submitted details (So that you the user of E-LMS can retrieve it)
3.2 Support Messages
- Name, email, message text, IP address, timestamps. These are stored in the
support_requeststable.
3.3 Usage Data (Analytics)
- We may collect anonymous or pseudonymized usage data (page views, actions) via analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics) to improve the Service.
3.4 Transaction Data
- If you purchase credits, payment processing is handled by a third-party provider. We store records of purchases (amount, timestamps) but do not store raw payment card details.

- Contract performance: for account management and payment processing.
- Legitimate interests: to improve the Service and prevent abuse.
- Consent: for optional analytics if implemented.
- Data Retention
By default, personal data is retained until you delete your account (self-service deletion). Administrative logs and necessary business records may be retained longer where required by law.
- Third-Party Services
- Email: We send transactional emails (password resets, support replies) using the server’s mail capability (PHP
mail()or configured SMTP). Your email address is included in those messages as appropriate. - Analytics: If enabled, we use analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics). These services collect usage data; consult their privacy documentation for details.
- Payments: PayPal (or another chosen provider) will process payments. Payment processors are independent controllers for payment data.
- Your Rights
Under GDPR you have rights including: access, rectification, erasure (delete), restriction, objection, and data portability. To exercise these rights, use the account self-service controls where available (for example: account deletion) or follow the procedures provided in your account settings and administrative interfaces.
- Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
- International Transfers
Third-party providers (e.g., analytics, payment processors) may transfer data outside the EEA. We rely on providers that implement appropriate safeguards.
We apply the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where applicable. All personal data we collect is stored on servers located in Germany.
